Town of Herkimer Park is thrilled to announce a groundbreaking partnership between MVP Health Care, the Town of Herkimer, and the National Fitness Campaign (NFC) to bring an innovative outdoor Fitness Court® Studio to our community! Located at 154 Pine Grove Road, this state-of-the-art fitness facility will officially open on Saturday, July 13, with a day full of exciting activities.
Grand Opening Celebration
Stop by for the grand opening event starting at 10:00 am. Kick off your day with Fitness Court demonstrations to get a taste of what this incredible facility has to offer. At 11:00 am, witness the official ribbon-cutting ceremony (by the Herkimer Chamber of Commerce), followed by a friendly competition between our local police and firefighters at 11:30 am. It’s a perfect opportunity to engage with the community and experience firsthand the benefits of the new Fitness Court Studio.
A Community Resource for Health and Wellness
The MVP Health Care Fitness Court Studio is designed to provide the community with increased access to outdoor exercise programs, making high-quality workouts accessible to everyone. Developed in collaboration with MVP Health Care, the Town of Herkimer, and NFC, this project aims to create equitable access to exercise for all community members.
Features of the Fitness Court Studio
The Fitness Court Studio at the Town Park features two distinct workout areas separated by a stunning mural wall showcasing scenic photography of the Town of Herkimer. This beautiful artwork not only enhances the environment but also inspires participants to enjoy their workouts in a picturesque setting.
- Seven-Minute Full Body Workout: One side of the Fitness Court delivers a powerful seven-minute full-body workout, perfect for those looking to maximize their fitness routine in a short amount of time.
- Versatile Outdoor Class Area: The other side offers a versatile space for group wellness activities, including yoga, Zumba, pilates, and more.
Designed for individuals aged 14 and over and suitable for all fitness levels, the Fitness Court Studio allows participants to move at their own pace. Additionally, the free Fitness Court App acts as a personal coach, enhancing your outdoor workout experience with digital support and guidance.
